An inline plastic bead most commonly used as a "sound" element in rigs like the Carolina rig or Texas rig. A clicking or popping sound is created when it contacts the weight. In addition to the sound effect, the bead can imitate prey being chased by your lure. This triggers feeding "jealousy" or a sense of competition in the target predator, forcing it to strike.
A plastic bead produces less intense sounds but is safer for the rig.
