Big bait – big fish! With our DAIWA Pro Staff Big Bait rods, targeting the largest pike using heavy soft plastics or crankbaits is no problem!

Fishing with large lures is naturally very demanding, which makes it even more crucial to fish with a perfectly balanced and lightweight rod with excellent casting capabilities! Made from HVF carbon fiber with X45 and Nanoplus technologies, these rods combine the necessary features for effortless fishing. The traditionally designed cork handle is a pleasure to hold and provides perfect leverage for long, precise casts. The blank fully bends during casting, supporting the angler with every throw. The tip action and rod backbone are engineered to give large lures an attractive motion and to absorb head shakes while landing a fish.

The Pro Staff Big Bait rod is equipped with the exclusive Fuji ACS reel seat for baitcasting reels.

The DAIWA Pro Staff range was created in close collaboration with our DAIWA team anglers – Nils Gabsa, Marten Laciny, Adrian Prus, Sebastian Bischof, Horst Hennings, Tim Jaschke, and Marcel Asbroek. These experts spent countless hours by the water, testing many prototypes until the perfect specialized rods were developed! The blank action, components used, technologies, and design details like handle length were specifically tailored for specialists in perch, zander, pike, vertical fishing, pelagic fishing, and big bait fishing. A range of top DAIWA technologies was incorporated to meet the needs of our team anglers. HVF Nanoplus carbon fiber material allows the construction of extremely lightweight, slim, fast, and at the same time highly durable blanks. Thanks to the addition of nanoparticles, the already small amount of resin was further reduced, making the blanks even faster and lighter! The X45 carbon fiber construction improves blank compression due to a specific fiber arrangement – resulting in highly durable blanks that allow for more accurate casts and perfect control while fighting fish and presenting lures. Additionally, rods gain increased resistance to damage. V-Joint technology represents DAIWA’s exclusive BIAS carbon fiber layer at joints. Thanks to this unique material, this usually sensitive part of the rod is very robust, enhancing the bending curve.

Special attention was paid to rod balance – handle construction, choice of premium ultra-light Fuji Alconite K-guides, and materials ensure a perfect feel while fishing, allowing for effortless angling over long hours.
